 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives were deeply saddened to learn of the death of
 4    John  R.  Crozier,  Jr.  who was tragically killed by a drunk
 5    driver while serving as a flagman on May 26, 2003;

 6        WHEREAS, Mr. Crozier was a 15 year  member  of  Laborers'
 7    Local 911 in Ottawa and was a certified flagger for 10 years;
 8    and

 9        WHEREAS,  Mr.  Crozier  was  a  member  of the Sandy Ford
10    Sportsmans Club; he loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter
11    and fisherman; he was a motorcycle rider and participated  in
12    many  bike  events including fundraisers to benefit children;
13    and

14        WHEREAS, Mr. Crozier was a devoted and exceptional father
15    to his 8 year old son  Alex  and  considered  fatherhood  the
16    greatest  thing in his life; he and his son were both born on
17    November 23 and enjoyed sharing their birthdays together; and

18        WHEREAS, Mr. Crozier's passing will be deeply felt by all
19    who knew and loved him, especially his son, Alex; his father,
20    John (Linda) Crozier, Sr.; his  mother,  Carol  Crozier;  his
21    sister,  Lynn  "Tuttie"  (Danny)  Lappe;  his brother, Thomas
22    Crozier; and his fiancee, Kim Roe; therefore, be it

23        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
24    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
25    we mourn the tragic death of John R. Crozier, Jr. and  extend
26    our sincere condolences to all who knew and loved him; and be
27    it further

28        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
29    presented to the  family  of  John  R.  Crozier,  Jr.  as  an
30    expression of our deepest sympathy.
