 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of  Representatives  of
 3    the  State of Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of
 4    Ruth Ann Gibbs (nee Ohanian) of Gurnee on May 1, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, She was born on November 10,  1945  in  Waukegan
 6    and remained a lifelong area resident; and

 7        WHEREAS,  Mrs.  Gibbs  was  an Executive Assistant to the
 8    Lake County Board Chairman and had been an  employee  of  the
 9    County  of  Lake  for  31  years  where  she  served under 12
10    different county board chairmen; and

11        WHEREAS, She had a fierce devotion to the White Sox and a
12    caring attitude toward everyone she knew; and

13        WHEREAS, Mrs.  Gibbs  was  an  active  member  of  Christ
14    Episcopal  Church  where  she was a Sunday School Teacher and
15    Choir Member; she was also a member of the Waukegan  Symphony
16    Chorus; and

17        WHEREAS,  Mrs. Gibbs passing will be deeply felt by many,
18    especially her husband, Jerry  Gibbs;  her  son,  Christopher
19    Gibbs;  her  daughter, Anne Gibbs; her brother, David (Nancy)
20    Ohanian; and her nieces, Emilie and Elizabeth Ohanian; and

21        WHEREAS, She  was  preceded  in  death  by  her  parents,
22    Clarence and Alice (nee Chookazian) Ohanian; therefore, be it

23        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
24    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
25    we  mourn the death of Ruth Ann Gibbs along with all who knew
26    and loved her and  extend  our  sincere  condolences  to  her
27    family and friends; and be it further

28        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
29    presented to the family of Ruth Ann Gibbs as an expression of
30    our deepest sympathy.
