 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, When we think of the world being a better place,
 3    we think of how it begins with young children; and

 4        WHEREAS, Children need a safe and loving  environment  to
 5    grow, learn, excel, and be happy; and

 6        WHEREAS,  Children  have  dreams  and wishes, and society
 7    will do its best to help their dreams come true; and

 8        WHEREAS, Children are brilliant and  ingenious  in  their
 9    own way; and

10        WHEREAS,  Society  should  have  an  established  date to
11    recognize the achievements and value of its children; and

12        WHEREAS,  El  Dia  de  los  Ninos  (Children's  Day)   is
13    celebrated  to  recognize  every single child and acknowledge
14    each of them; and

15        WHEREAS, By celebrating  April  30th,  we  are  making  a
16    commitment  to  children  that  we  will  continue to listen,
17    teach, and nurture them; therefore, be it

18        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
19    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20    we commemorate the lives of our children and  our  future  by
21    designating  April  30th  as  El Dia de los Ninos (Children's
22    Day).
