 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives wish
 3    to congratulate the Zaccagnino  family  of  Elmwood  Park  on
 4    being  the  winner of the first season of the reality TV show
 5    "My Life is a Sitcom"; and

 6        WHEREAS, "My Life is a Sitcom" is a  new  reality  series
 7    that is televised on ABC Family; network executives conducted
 8    a  nationwide  talent search to find a real family to star as
 9    themselves in a television sitcom based on the family's  real
10    life  and invited any family that wished to enter the contest
11    to submit a videotape  of  themselves  to  the  network;  the
12    Zaccagninos  were  among hundreds of families from across the
13    country that submitted a videotape to ABC Family; and

14        WHEREAS, Of the hundreds of videotapes submitted  to  the
15    network,  eight  families  that  the  network  felt  could be
16    entertaining enough to have their own sitcom  were  selected,
17    including  the  Zaccagninos; television production crews were
18    dispatched to each of the eight homes to see how funny  these
19    families really were; and

20        WHEREAS,  The  network  featured  one family per week for
21    eight weeks; shortly after the conclusion of the eighth week,
22    the Zaccagninos were declared the winners  by  a  three-judge
23    panel  consisting  of  Dave  Coulier,  Maureen McCormick, and
24    David Faustino; the Zaccagninos won the  exclusive  right  to
25    star  in  a sitcom pilot based on their real lives, which was
26    shot in  front  of  a  live  studio  audience  in  Hollywood,
27    California, and aired nationwide on March 24, 2003; and

28        WHEREAS,  The  members  of the Zaccagnino family are Bob,
29    Karen, Dianne, Camille, and Danny; therefore, be it

30        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
31    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

 1    we  congratulate  the  Zaccagnino  family  on   being   named
 2    television's funniest family on "My Life is a Sitcom"; and be
 3    it further

 4        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
 5    presented to the Zaccagnino family.
