 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of  Representatives  of
 3    the State of Illinois are pleased to recognize the efforts of
 4    organizations that work for the betterment of others; and

 5        WHEREAS,  The  Grand  Court of the Order of the Amaranth,
 6    Inc. for the State of Illinois  is  a  part  of  the  Masonic
 7    Order; the Grand Court has proclaimed the month of May "Let's
 8    All Help Wipe Out Diabetes" month; members of the Grand Court
 9    are  planning  several  events  to  raise  funds for diabetes
10    research; and

11        WHEREAS, The Grand Court  is  planning  a  poker  run  in
12    collaboration  with A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois; the group is also
13    planning a golf outing, a walk-a-thon  in  Centralia,  and  a
14    walk and camp out at Crab Orchard camp ground; and

15        WHEREAS,  Members  of The Grand Court of the Order of the
16    Amaranth,  Inc.  believe  that  when  people  work  together,
17    diabetes can become a disease of the past; therefore, be it

18        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
19    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20    we commend the members of the Grand Court of the Order of the
21    Amaranth, Inc. for their efforts to  eradicate  diabetes  and
22    that  we  proclaim  the  month of May 2003 as "Let's All Help
23    Wipe Out Diabetes" month; and be it further

24        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
25    presented  to  Mrs.  Helen Landers, Grand Royal Matron of the
26    Grand Court of the Order of the Amaranth, Inc. with our  best
27    wishes for success in this project.
