HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, David Doty was born on March 5, 1945, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1967; and

WHEREAS, He and his wife, Dianne, have been married for 34 years; and

WHEREAS, They have three children, Erin, Jeff, and Mike, and two grandchildren, Jordon and Jayce; and

WHEREAS, David Doty served as the Lyons Republican Township Republican Committeeman; and

WHEREAS, He has lobbied the Illinois General Assembly for thirty years; and

WHEREAS, David Doty has served as Director of Government Affairs and Vice President of Law and Government Affairs for AT&T for twenty-seven years; and

WHEREAS, David Doty has earned the respect of his colleagues and members of the General Assembly for his professional, honest, and bipartisan advocacy on issues dealing with the telecommunications and steel industries; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we commend Dave Doty on his successful 30-year career working with the Illinois General Assembly and we extend our best wishes to Dave, his wife, Dianne, and the Doty family on his retirement from AT&T; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dave Doty.
