| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to recognize notable achievements |
| 4 |
| of citizens of this State; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, The Frankfort Preservation Foundation Board of |
| 6 |
| Directors has established a "Lifetime Service" Award program in |
| 7 |
| order to recognize, honor, and preserve the memory of citizens |
| 8 |
| and historic landmarks that exemplify the highest standards of |
| 9 |
| stewardship within its community; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, At a ceremony on Friday, August 13, 2004, at CD & |
| 11 |
| Me, the late Deputy Police Chief Edward "Bucko" Bukowinski is |
| 12 |
| being honored with the Posthumous Lifetime Service award for |
| 13 |
| his service to the Village of Frankfort Police Department as an |
| 14 |
| auxiliary officer, patrolman, Sergeant, and Deputy Chief, |
| 15 |
| proudly wearing Badge Number 303; he also served his country in |
| 16 |
| the United States Army and received awards of distinction from |
| 17 |
| the Frankfort Lions Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars; |
| 18 |
| therefore, be it
|
| 19 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 20 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 21 |
| honor the memory of the late Deputy Police Chief Edward "Bucko" |
| 22 |
| Bukowinski on the occasion of his receiving the Posthumous |
| 23 |
| Lifetime Service award from Frankfort Preservation Foundation |
| 24 |
| Board of Directors for his many contributions to the Village of |
| 25 |
| Frankfort; and be it further
|
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to the family of Mr. Bukowinski as an expression of |
| 28 |
| our sincere appreciation for the contributions he made to the |
| 29 |
| citizens of his community.
