| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to recognize buildings of |
| 4 |
| historic significance that contribute to the tradition and |
| 5 |
| heritage of their communities; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The Frankfort Preservation Foundation Board of |
| 7 |
| Directors has established a "Lifetime Service" Award program in |
| 8 |
| order to recognize, honor, and preserve the memory of citizens |
| 9 |
| and historic landmarks that exemplify the highest standards of |
| 10 |
| stewardship within its community; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, At a ceremony on Friday, August 13, 2004, at CD & |
| 12 |
| Me, the Old Village Hall, referred to as "The Glenn Warning |
| 13 |
| Building", is being honored with the Frankfort Landmark |
| 14 |
| Lifetime Service Award for its distinction of being built in |
| 15 |
| 1955; the Old Village Hall included the administrative office |
| 16 |
| of Frankfort, a jail cell, and a police force for one part-time |
| 17 |
| officer; the building also housed a small volunteer fire |
| 18 |
| department whose one-pumper provided protection for the |
| 19 |
| Village of Frankfort and surrounding areas; therefore, be it
|
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 21 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 22 |
| recognize the Old Village Hall of Frankfort, referred to as |
| 23 |
| "The Glenn Warning Building", for being honored with the |
| 24 |
| Frankfort Landmark Lifetime Service Award given by the |
| 25 |
| Frankfort Preservation Foundation Board of Directors; and be it |
| 26 |

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |

| presented to the Frankfort Preservation Foundation Board of |
| 29 |
| Directors.
