 1        AN ACT in relation to aging.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section   5.  The  Respite  Program  Act  is  amended  by
 5    changing Section 3 as follows:

 6        (320 ILCS 10/3) (from Ch. 23, par. 6203)
 7        Sec.  3.  Respite  program.   The  Director   is   hereby
 8    authorized  to establish respite projects for the purposes of
 9    providing care and assistance to persons in need and to deter
10    the institutionalization of frail or disabled or functionally
11    disabled or cognitively impaired adults.
