SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

220 ILCS 5/8-306 new

Amends the Public Utilities Act. Provides that the Illinois Commerce Commission may adopt rules requiring public utilities providing gas service to include a notice of increase in wholesale gas prices with their monthly bills.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by adding Section 8-306 as follows:

Sec. 8-306. Notice of price increase. The Commission may adopt rules requiring public utilities providing gas service to include a notice of increase in wholesale gas prices with their monthly bills.
