235 ILCS 5/6-14   from Ch. 43, par. 129

    Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Makes technical changes in a Section concerning retail sales on Sundays.

1     AN ACT in relation to alcohol.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Liquor Control Act of 1934 is amended by
5 changing Section 6-14 as follows:
 
6     (235 ILCS 5/6-14)  (from Ch. 43, par. 129)
7     Sec. 6-14. Retail sales on Sundays. No person shall sell at
8 retail any alcoholic liquor on Sundays unless authorized by
9 general ordinance or resolution of the city council, president
10 and board of trustees, or county board, as the case may be;
11 provided, however that the city council, president and board of
12 trustees, or county board, as the case may be, may further
13 restrict the permissible hours for the sale of alcoholic
14 liquors under such licenses in its political subdivision as the
15 public good and convenience may require.
