SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
30 ILCS 500/25-65 new

    Amends the Illinois Procurement Code. Requires that information technology services contractors certify that the services shall be performed in the United States by U.S. citizens, legal U.S. resident aliens, or persons with valid U.S. visas. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning procurement.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by
5 adding Section 25-65 as follows:
 
6     (30 ILCS 500/25-65 new)
7     Sec. 25-65. Information technology services. Each State
8 contract awarded on or after the effective date of this
9 amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly for the provision
10 of information technology services must contain a
11 certification by the contractor that all information
12 technology services provided pursuant to the contract shall be
13 performed within the United States by United States citizens,
14 legal United States resident aliens, persons with valid United
15 States visas, or any combination of such persons.
 
16     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
17 becoming law.
