 1        AN ACT concerning property taxes.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Property Tax Code is amended by  changing
 5    Section 18-255 as follows:

 6        (35 ILCS 200/18-255)
 7        Sec.  18-255.  Abstract  of  assessments  and extensions.
 8    When the collector's books are completed,  the  county  clerk
 9    shall  make  a  complete  statement  of  the  assessment  and
10    extensions,   in   conformity  to  the  instructions  of  the
11    Department. The clerk must shall certify the statement to the
12    Department.
