 1        AN ACT concerning business transactions.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Motor Vehicle Franchise Act is amended by
 5    changing Section 3 as follows:

 6        (815 ILCS 710/3) (from Ch. 121 1/2, par. 753)
 7        Sec.  3.   Applicability  of Act.  Any person who engages
 8    directly or indirectly in  purposeful  contacts  within  this
 9    State in connection with the offering or advertising for sale
10    or  has  business  dealings  with  respect to a motor vehicle
11    within this the State shall be subject to the  provisions  of
12    this  Act  and  shall  be  subject to the jurisdiction of the
13    courts of this State.
