 1        AN ACT making appropriations.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The amount of $15,000,000, or so much of that
 5    amount  as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Tobacco
 6    Settlement Recovery Fund  to  the  Department  of  Labor  for
 7    retiree  benefits  under  the  Secured Health Care Assistance
 8    Retiree Exemption Act.

 9        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act  takes  effect  on
10    July 1, 2003.
