 1        AN ACT making appropriations.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5. The sum of $500,000, or so much of that amount
 5    as  may  be  necessary,  is appropriated to the Department of
 6    State Police for the purpose of developing a training program
 7    for police officers concerning the investigation and handling
 8    of  cases  of  domestic  violence  and  sexual  assault,   in
 9    consultation  with  the  Illinois  Law  Enforcement  Training
10    Standards Board.

11        Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on July
12    1, 2003.
