 1        AN ACT in relation to vehicles.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The  Illinois  Vehicle  Code  is  amended  by
 5    changing Section 6-100 as follows:

 6        (625 ILCS 5/6-100) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 6-100)
 7        Sec.   6-100.  Definitions.  For  the  purposes  of  this
 8    Chapter, the following words shall have the meanings ascribed
 9    to them:
10        (a)  Application Process.  The  process  of  obtaining  a
11    driver's   license,  identification  card,  or  permit.   The
12    process begins when a person  enters  a  Secretary  of  State
13    Driver  Services  facility  and  requests a driver's license,
14    identification card or permit.
15        (b)  Conviction. A final  adjudication  of  guilty  by  a
16    court  of  competent jurisdiction either after a bench trial,
17    trial by jury,  plea  of  guilty,  order  of  forfeiture,  or
18    default.
19        (c)  Identification  Card.   A document made or issued by
20    or under the authority of the United States  Government,  the
21    State of Illinois or any other state or political subdivision
22    thereof,    or   any   governmental   or   quasi-governmental
23    organization that, when completed with information concerning
24    the individual, is of a type intended  or  commonly  accepted
25    for the purpose of identifying the individual.
