 1        AN ACT in relation to environmental safety.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.   The Environmental Protection Act is amended
 5    by changing Section 24 as follows:

 6        (415 ILCS 5/24) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 1024)
 7        Sec. 24. Prohibited noise.  No person shall  emit  beyond
 8    the  boundaries  of  his  or  her  property  any  noise  that
 9    unreasonably  interferes  with  the enjoyment of life or with
10    any lawful  business  or  activity,  so  as  to  violate  any
11    regulation or standard adopted by the Board under this Act.
