 1        AN ACT making appropriations.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The amount of $2, or so much of  that  amount
 5    as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
 6    Fund to the Department of Human Services to fund the increase
 7    in  wages  paid  to  direct  care  staff for individuals with
 8    developmental disabilities pursuant to Section  15.5  of  the
 9    Mental  Health  and Developmental Disabilities Administrative
10    Act.

11        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act  takes  effect  on
12    July 1, 2003.
