 1        AN ACT concerning freedom of information.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The Freedom of Information Act is amended by
 5    changing Section 8 as follows:

 6        (5 ILCS 140/8) (from Ch. 116, par. 208)
 7        Sec. 8. Exempt records containing nonexempt material.  If
 8    any  public  record  that  is  exempt  from  disclosure under
 9    Section 7 of this Act contains  any  material  which  is  not
10    exempt, the public body shall delete the information which is
11    exempt  and  make  the  remaining  information  available for
12    inspection and copying.
