 1        AN ACT concerning local government.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Illinois Municipal Budget Law is  amended
 5    by changing Section 4 as follows:

 6        (50 ILCS 330/4) (from Ch. 85, par. 804)
 7        Sec.  4.  The  failure  by  any  governing  body  of  any
 8    municipality  to  adopt  an  annual  budget and appropriation
 9    ordinance, or to comply in any respect with the provisions of
10    this Act, does shall not affect the validity of any tax  levy
11    by  that  of  any  such  municipality  that  is, otherwise in
12    conformity with the law.
