 1        AN ACT concerning aging.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Illinois Act on the Aging is  amended  by
 5    changing Section 3.05 as follows:

 6        (20 ILCS 105/3.05) (from Ch. 23, par. 6103.05)
 7        Sec.  3.05.  Aged  or  senior  citizen. "Aged" or "Senior
 8    citizen" means a person of 55 years of age  or  older,  or  a
 9    person  nearing  the  age  of  55  for whom opportunities for
10    employment  and   participation   in   community   life   are
11    unavailable or severely limited and who, as a result thereof,
12    has    difficulty   in   maintaining   self-sufficiency   and
13    contributing to the life of the community.
