 1        AN ACT concerning the use of Social Security numbers.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:


 4        Section  5.  The  Department  of Natural Resources Act is
 5    amended by adding Section 1-23 as follows:

 6        (20 ILCS 801/1-23 new)
 7        Sec.  1-23.  Requiring  or  requesting  Social   Security
 8    numbers.   The  Department  may  not  require  or request any
 9    individual applying for  or  renewing  a  license  or  permit
10    issued  under  the  Wildlife Code, a license or permit issued
11    under the Fish and Aquatic Life Code, or any other license or
12    permit issued by the Department to supply his or  her  Social
13    Security number.
