 1        AN ACT in relation to attorneys.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  Attorney  Act  is  amended  by changing
 5    Section 5 as follows:

 6        (705 ILCS 205/5) (from Ch. 13, par. 5)
 7        Sec. 5.  Record of attorneys. It shall be the duty of the
 8    clerk of the supreme court to make and keep a record, stating
 9    at the head thereof that the persons whose names are  therein
10    written have been regularly licensed and admitted to practice
11    as  attorneys  and  counselors  at law within this State, and
12    that they have duly taken the oath of office as prescribed by
13    law, which shall be certified and indorsed on the license.
