 1        AN ACT in relation to the conveyance of land.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Code of Civil  Procedure  is  amended  by
 5    changing Section 7-107 as follows:

 6        (735 ILCS 5/7-107) (from Ch. 110, par. 7-107)
 7        Sec.  7-107.  Persons  contesting  not  to be prejudiced.
 8    Neither  the  plaintiff  nor  any  party  interested  in  the
 9    property, by taking any action authorized by  Sections  7-103
10    through to 7-106, inclusive, of this Act, shall be prejudiced
11    in  any way in contesting, in later stages of the proceeding,
12    the amount to be finally ascertained to be just compensation.
