SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Howard H. Lexow, who passed away on
4November 17, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Harold Lexow was born in Chicago to Ralph and
6Pauline (Coufelt) Lexow on January 17, 1930; he married Joyce
7A. Wilson in Chicago on May 25, 1957; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Howard Lexow served in the United States Army
9during World War II and the Korean War; he volunteered for the
10Army Transport Service from June 1946 through 1949; he served
11at Ft. Leonard Wood from 1952 until 1954; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Howard Lexow was a great fundraiser for various
13organizations and an excellent volunteer for hospitals and
14nursing homes; he enjoyed vacationing in Canada and fishing;
15most of all, he loved spending time with his
16great-granddaughters, grandchildren, and friends; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Harold Lexow was preceded in death by his parents;
18his wife, Joyce; his brother, Donald Lexow; and his nephew,
19John Lexow; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Harold Lexow is survived by his children, Beth

1(Tony) Fino and Lee (Celeste) Lexow; his grandchildren,
2Stephanie (Sam) Melton and Anthony T. Fino; his
3great-grandchildren, Becky Rose Melton, Meka Nicole Melton,
4and Julie Suzanne Melton; his sister-in-law, Joan Ditty; his
5nieces, Jeanette Emmel, Robin Emmel, Audrey (Bruce) Emmel,
6Francine (Larry) Johnson, and Jeanne (Jeff) Weatherbee; and his
7nephew, Phillip (Linda) Lexow; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Howard H. Lexow and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Howard Lexow as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
