SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert A. "Bob" Peppmeyer of Rock Island,
4who passed away on February 16, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Peppmeyer was born in Rock Island to Arno and
6Naomi Gilbert Peppmeyer on July 21, 1935; he served in the
7United States Army during the Korean War; he married Janet
8Landrith in Moline on November 14, 1959; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Bob Peppmeyer worked as a computer operator for
10Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Co.; he retired in 1995 after 26
11years of service; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Bob Peppmeyer was a member of the CornerStone
13Christian Fellowship of the Quad Cities, Moline, where he
14served as an usher and took communion to the sick and infirm;
15he was a former member of the Moline Gospel Temple; he loved
16animals; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Bob Peppmeyer was preceded in death by his
18parents; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Bob Peppmeyer is survived by his wife, Janet; his
20children, Marty Peppmeyer, Rob Peppmeyer, and Tammie (Mike)

1Hardin; his 11 grandchildren; and his 18 great-grandchildren
2plus two due in May; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Robert A. "Bob" Peppmeyer and extend our sincere condolences to
6his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Bob Peppmeyer as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
