Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
230 ILCS 5/1
Adds reference to:
230 ILCS 40/79 new

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Video Gaming Act. Provides that investigators appointed by the Illinois Gaming Board shall have authority to conduct investigations, searches, seizures, arrests, and other duties imposed under the Act and the Riverboat Gambling Act, as deemed necessary by the Board. Provides that these investigators have and may exercise all of the rights and powers of peace officers, provided that these powers shall be limited to offenses or violations occurring or committed in connection with conduct subject to the Act and exercised in cooperation with a local police department. Effective immediately.
