Synopsis As Introduced
Recommends a series of steps that entities should follow in the taking of land or seeking of easements by eminent domain or quick-take procedures for development projects.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Corrects a misspelled word.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 2
Replaces everything after the heading with similar language. Provides that a drain tile contractor repairing field drainage tiles should be chosen after consultation with the landowner. Removes language concerning the management of run off and storm water. Removes language concerning the assignment of an ombudsman for communication with landowners about project problems. Adds language concerning the assignment of a point person responsible for communication with landowners about project concerns and for taking appropriate action when notified by landowners.
