Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Workers' Compensation Act and the Workers' Occupational Diseases Act. Restricts specific rebuttable presumptions to firefighters and emergency medical technicians or paramedics who are cross trained as firefighters.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Workers' Compensation Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Workers' Compensation Act and the Workers' Occupational Diseases Act in connection with firefighters, emergency medical technicians, and paramedics. Provides that, with respect to health conditions resulting from bloodborne pathogens, lung or respiratory diseases, and certain other diseases, a rebuttable presumption that those impairments arise out of employment does not apply to emergency medical technicians and paramedics who are employed by a private employer and who spend the preponderance of their time engaged in medical transports.
