Synopsis As Introduced
Creates the Uniform Racial Classification Act. Provides that whenever a State agency is required by law to compile or report statistical data using racial or ethnic classifications, the State agency shall use the same classifications adopted by the United States Census Bureau. Effective immediately.

House Floor Amendment No. 3
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the bill. Provides that the Uniform Racial Classification Act is subject to federal law and regulations. Sets forth the classifications that a State agency shall use whenever it is required to compile or report statistical data using racial or ethnic classifications (rather than using the classifications adopted by the United States Census Bureau). Effective immediately.
