Synopsis As Introduced
Creates the Second Chance Task Force to study the feasibility of proposed legislation to give persons who commit crimes that would otherwise result in their imprisonment to be given the opportunity to serve in the Armed Forces of the United States or the Illinois National Guard. Provides that the Task Force shall receive the assistance of the Department of Military Affairs and such other persons as it deems appropriate and shall report its findings and recommendations to the House of Representatives by December 31, 2012.
