Synopsis As Introduced
Urges the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to cooperate and coordinate with the Illinois Greenways and Trails Commission in order to develop a model heritage water trail plan as well as national heritage waterways and other high quality recreational waterway trails and recreational opportunities.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Provides that the Illinois Greenways and Trails Council was organized as Illinois' "State Trail Advisory Board" under the Natural Recreational Trails Fund Act. Changes "Illinois Greenways and Trails Commission" to the "Illinois Greenways and Trails Council". Provides that the Council also has the expertise and experience needed to identify high quality greenways.
