Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Emergency Telephone System Act. Provides that moneys in an Emergency Telephone System Fund account established by a municipality or county may be used to pay for costs associated with emergency warning systems. Effective immediately.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Further amends the Emergency Telephone System Act. Provides that funds may be expended for emergency warning systems only if specifically designed to provide warning for tornadoes, only in a municipality with a population of less than 15,000, and only if sufficient funds are available to pay for the other authorized expenditures from the Emergency Telephone System Fund account.
