Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, and Nail Technology Act of 1985. Provides a time frame during which the Department of Professional Regulation may accept 10 years of cosmetology experience in lieu of specified requirements for licensure. Effective immediately.

Adds reference to:

Replaces the title and everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, and Nail Technology Act of 1985. Provides a time frame during which the Department of Professional Regulation may accept 10 years of experience as a barber or barber's apprentice in lieu of specified requirements for licensure. Provides that, for applicants that apply during a specific time frame, the Department may issue a license as a cosmetologist to an applicant who has met all the requirements except the examination requirement. Effective immediately.
