Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Physical Therapy Act. Changes the definition of "physical therapy". Removes definitions of "referral" and "documented current and relevant diagnosis". Requires physical therapists and physical therapist assistants to use "PT" and "PTA", respectively, in connection with their names to denote licensure. Made changes in provisions concerning disciplinary grounds under the Act. Adds advertising as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant or physical therapy services without a license to the list of violations of the Act and to the provisions concerning civil penalties. Effective immediately.
