Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Counties Code. Provides that the Cook County Board of Commissioners may override a veto by the County Board President by an affirmative vote of three-fifths of its members (instead of four-fifths). Effective immediately.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Further amends the Counties Code. Changes the effective date from immediately to January 1, 2011.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Act. Causes the term of office of each member of the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Board to end 30 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act. Provides for the appointment of an interim Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Board. Provides that the interim Board shall consist of 7 members. Effective immediately.
