Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Public Community College Act. Provides that, after the effective date of the amendatory Act, one of the 11 members of the Illinois Community College Board to be appointed by the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, must be the president of a public community college. Effective immediately.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Provides that the member must be the president of a public community college, the Chancellor of City Colleges of Chicago, or the Chief Executive Officer of Illinois Valley Community College (instead of requiring that the member be the president of a public community college).

House Floor Amendment No. 2
Changes a reference from the Chief Executive Officer of Illinois Valley Community College to the Chief Executive Officer of Illinois Eastern Community Colleges.
