Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Seed Law. Defines "cool weather grasses". Sets out a labelling requirement for cool weather grasses that includes a "sell by" date. Provides that cool weather grasses may be sold up to 15 months (instead of 12 months) after the applicable test under the Act. Effective immediately.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Provides that there is no rulemaking authority under the amendatory Act, but that the Governor may suggest rules by filing them with the General Assembly and requesting that the General Assembly authorize such rulemaking by law, enact the suggested rules into law, or take other appropriate action in the General Assembly's discretion.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes the language providing that there is no rulemaking authority under the amendatory Act.
