Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Counties Code. Provides that a county may impose a special county retailers' occupation tax for probation services.

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Counties Code and Clerks of Courts Act. Provides that a county board may impose a $25 fee to be paid by the defendant on a judgment of guilty or a grant of supervision to be placed in the county general fund and used to finance county probation services. Exempts the proceeds of the fee to finance county probation services from distribution by the circuit clerk to specific entities. Provides that the circuit clerk may add on the fee to finance county probation services to the total sum of money imposed by the judge for a violation. Effective immediately.
