Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Department of Transportation Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Authorizes the Department, on behalf of the State, to enter into public-private partnerships for the acquisition of equipment for Amtrak passenger rail service.

Allows IDOT to enter into public-private partnerships to acquire equipment for "intercity" (instead of "Amtrak") passenger rail service.
