Synopsis As Introduced
Creates a study committee to investigate and hold public hearings about the effects of U.S. trade policy on Illinois jobs and farms.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Provides for four individuals from the Illinois AFL-CIO Executive Board and four individuals from the Illinois Manufacturers' Association on the study committee instead of two from the Illinois AFL-CIO Executive Board and two from the Illinois Chamber of Commerce.

House Committee Amendment No. 2
Provides that the study committee shall file a final report, containing its findings and recommendations, with the Governor and the General Assembly no later than January 3, 2005.

 Fiscal Note (Department of Labor)
 No fiscal effect.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Provides that the study committee shall file its final report no later than May 1, 2005 (instead of January 3, 2005).
