Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Makes a technical change to a Section concerning the powers and duties of the Secretary of State.

Deletes reference to:
625 ILCS 5/2-101

Deletes everything. Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code and the State Finance Act. Creates the Secretary of State Police DUI Fund as a special fund in the State treasury. Provides that all moneys received by the Secretary of State Police in the form of fines under the DUI provision of the Code shall be deposited into the Secretary of State Police DUI Fund and, subject to appropriation, shall be used to purchase law enforcement equipment to assist in the prevention of alcohol related criminal violence throughout the State. Effective immediately.
