Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Election Code. Makes technical changes in a Section concerning the nomination of candidates for the General Assembly.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
10 ILCS 5/8-1
Adds reference to:
10 ILCS 5/1A-25 new
10 ILCS 5/18A-5

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Election Code. Establishes the standards with which the State Board of Elections must comply in creating and maintaining the centralized statewide voter registration list required by federal law. Prohibits disclosure of any portion of the list to a person or entity other than a State or local political committee and other than a governmental entity for a governmental purpose. For purposes of checking the official list of registered voters who are entitled to non-provisional ballots, specifies that the centralized statewide list is the official list. Effective immediately.
