Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Makes technical changes to the short title Section.

725 ILCS 120/9from Ch. 38, par. 1408

Deletes everything. Amends the Rights of Crime Victims and Witnesses Act. Provides that circuit court clerks may enter into agreements with the Attorney General for participation in the statewide victim and witness notification system. Provides that circuit court clerks may be appointed to the Crime Victim and Witness Notification Advisory Committee. Provides that any act of omission or commission by a circuit court clerk acting in good faith in rendering crime victim's assistance or otherwise enforcing the Act shall not give rise to civil liability.
