Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Mosquito Abatement District Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning a petition for a referendum on the question of organizing a mosquito abatement district.

Adds reference to:
70 ILCS 805/13.1from Ch. 96 1/2, par. 6324

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Downstate Forest Preserve District Act. Authorizes a forest preserve district that is adjacent to any portion of the Rock River, and that is within a county that is bordered by a county with a forest preserve district that is also adjacent to any portion of the Rock River, to levy taxes for general corporate purposes for a fiscal year at a rate not to exceed .15% of the value, as equalized or assessed by the Department of Revenue, of the taxable property within the district. Effective immediately.
