Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Environmental Protection Act. Provides that beginning on July 1, 2017, it shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly place specified materials into a container intended for collection by a residential hauler for processing at a recycling center. Effective July 1, 2017.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the engrossed bill with the following changes: Provides that beginning on July 1, 2017, it shall be unlawful, unless specifically authorized by a municipal or county ordinance, (rather than it shall be unlawful) for any person to knowingly place specified materials into a container intended for collection by a residential hauler for processing at a recycling center. Removes Styrofoam from the list of specified materials. Effective July 1, 2017.
