Synopsis As Introduced
Creates the Gubernatorial End of Term Employment Act. Provides that any employee of the executive branch under the control of the Governor who is hired, promoted, or granted any form of protected employment status during the final 6 months of a Governor's term of office may be discharged or demoted or may be removed from protected employment status, all without cause, by the succeeding Governor within the first 60 days of that succeeding Governor's term of office. Contains provisions concerning applicability. Provides that neither the State nor any officer or employee of the State has any liability whatsoever to an employee who is sanctioned under this Act.
