Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Nursing and Advanced Practice Nursing Act. Provides that an applicant for registered nurse licensure or licensed practical nurse licensure shall have graduated, or will graduate prior to testing, from an approved program. Effective immediately.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
225 ILCS 65/10-30
Adds reference to:
225 ILCS 65/5-15

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Nursing and Advanced Practice Nursing Act. Allows an applicant practicing practical nursing or professional nursing who passes the examination to continue to practice until such time as he or she receives his or her license to practice or until the Department notifies him or her that the license has been denied. Effective immediately.
