Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Requires construction and maintenance zones to install signs with flashing yellow lights that notify motorists of the presence of workers by having the flashing lights in operation while workers are present.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Amends both Sections to limit the requirement that signs be posted in highway construction and maintenance project areas with flashing yellow lights when workers are present to only those highway construction and maintenance projects being performed by the Illinois Department of Transportation and only when employees of the Illinois Department of Transportation are present.
